About the job.
National Highways have an excellent opportunity for an ERP Functional Support Manager to join our team. The ERP Functional Support Manager will have overall responsibility for the functional effective delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of our Enterprise Resource Planning system, delivered as a service using the Oracle Fusion platform. This role will ensure the financial modules, system interfaces, controls and reporting frameworks operate effectively, enabling the organisation to accurately manage and account for its finances.

You will work across everything from internal business platforms to the systems that manage physical assets and keep England’s road network operating safely and reliably. Please note this position can be based from any of our UK offices however travel to other offices to attend team meetings will be required.
- Provide clear and timely communication to the wider business on data integrity, standing data and period-end progress, producing regular status reports for senior management with clear recommendations and action plans.
- Lead the ongoing maintenance, updates and enhancement of the Oracle Fusion ERP suite, coordinating activities across functional system experts and Business Process Owners to ensure system stability, performance and control effectiveness.
- Own and deliver a comprehensive ERP functional improvement strategy, aligned to the wider ERP and PFP strategy, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and within budget while meeting evolving business and user needs.
- Drive continuous improvement of ERP processes, controls and system performance, ensuring deployed Oracle Fusion modules fully support National Highways’ financial management and reporting requirements.
- Lead and develop the ERP functional support team, fostering strong cross-functional relationships internally and externally, sharing best practice, and ensuring effective collaboration, accountability and high performance across all stakeholders.
About you.
- Significant experience of working with cloud-based ERP systems, specifically Oracle (Oracle Fusion Cloud essential), with demonstrable knowledge of ERP system management, controls and support.
- Practical experience of working in or closely with Finance and/or Procurement functions, with a recognised accountancy qualification (fully or part qualified) advantageous.
- Proven experience leading, developing and motivating high-performing teams, with clear accountability for service delivery, performance management and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrable experience in business process improvement and business process engineering, alongside IT change management and delivering client-focused, customer-centric solutions.
- Experience applying project management methodologies, influencing and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders at executive and corporate level.
