ERP & IT Systems Manager

West Midlands | Permanent | Full-time

We're looking for an ERP & IT Systems Manager to take ownership of the core business systems and wider IT environment for an established SME in the West Midlands.

This is a broad, hands-on role where you'll become the internal point of ownership for the company's ERP platform while also overseeing the day-to-day IT estate.

The business relies heavily on its ERP system across sales, purchasing, stock, invoicing and wider operations, so you'll work closely with teams across the company to keep systems running effectively, improve processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.

Alongside ERP ownership, you'll also take responsibility for the wider IT environment, working with external support partners where required.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning and supporting the company's ERP platform day to day
  • Managing users, permissions, configuration and master data
  • Troubleshooting ERP and general IT issues across the business
  • Improving processes, reporting, workflows and system documentation
  • Supporting ERP upgrades, integrations and future improvement projects
  • Taking ownership of the wider IT estate including endpoints, networks, servers and business applications
  • Managing relationships with external IT and ERP support providers
  • Supporting users across the business and providing training where required
  • Helping shape and deliver improvements to an IT environment with plenty of scope for modernisation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Good knowledge of wider IT infrastructure and general IT support
  • Experience troubleshooting systems and supporting non-technical users
  • An understanding of business processes such as sales orders, stock, purchasing, finance or invoicing
  • The confidence to work autonomously and take ownership of problems
  • Experience working with external IT suppliers or MSPs

Previous experience with Intact, Sage 200, NetSuite, Business Central, Dynamics NAV, SAP Business One, Epicor or similar ERP platforms would all be relevant.

Experience within distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, engineering, construction supply or another stock-led environment would be particularly useful.

This would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on and wants the opportunity to genuinely own and improve the IT and systems environment within a growing SME.
