Wrightbus ERP Solutions Architect
Wrightbus are seeking an experienced ERP Solutions Architect to lead the architecture and design of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) implementation within a complex manufacturing environment.
The Role
ERP Solution Architecture
- Design and oversee the end-to-end solution architecture for the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Ensure the ERP solution supports key manufacturing, supply chain, and financial processes within the business.
- Define the ERP architecture, including integrations, data flows, and system dependencies.
- Ensure adherence to Microsoft best practices and architectural.
- Work closely with implementation partners and internal teams to ensure the ERP solution is delivered according to the agreed architecture.
- Provide guidance during solution design workshops and technical reviews.
Manufacturing Systems Alignment
- Work closely with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to map and optimise business processes.
- Ensure ERP supports core manufacturing capabilities such as:
- Production Planning & Scheduling
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Shop Floor Control
- Inventory and warehouse Management
- Procurement and supplier Management
- PLM
- CRM
- Reporting and Analytics
- Support integration with engineering, and production systems.
Legacy System Transition
- Provide architectural guidance for migration from Sage Line 500 and other legacy applications.
- Support data migration strategy, system rationalisation, and process redesign.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and standardise processes during the transition.

Integration Architecture
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular internal and external audits to assess the effectiveness of security measures.
- Create and maintain documentation.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience as an ERP Solution Architect or Senior ERP Consultant.
- Proven experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX implementations.
- Previous experience with SAGE ERP systems (e.g., Sage 200, Sage X3, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels of the company.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.
- Strong Data Migration, integration (Azure/Power Platforms) and reporting tools (Power Bi)
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time position based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.
- Occasional overseas travel will be required.
- Availability to work outside regular business hours to address critical incidents and perform maintenance activities.
Requirements
- A third-level qualification in Computer Science, Business, IT or a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience working as an ERP Solution Architect, Senior ERP Consultant, or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience designing enterprise ERP solution architectures.
- Proven experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX implementations.
- Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O architecture, modules, and system design.
- Experience working with or integrating legacy ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of enterprise business processes including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.
- Experience designing ERP solutions supporting production planning, bill of materials, inventory management, procurement, and shop floor operations.
- Experience designing system integrations between ERP and other enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of data flows, system dependencies, and enterprise integration design.
- Experience supporting ERP data migration strategies, including data mapping, transformation, and validation.
- Experience producing architecture documentation including system designs, integration diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Understanding of compliance, governance, and documentation standards.
