ERP Technical Delivery Manager - FTC 12 Months
Role overview
The business is transforming Lead-to-Cash across its UK, US and MENA operations. Scope covers CRM, quoting, delivery and professional services automation (PSA), ERP and financial planning, data, integration and BI. Selection takes place in 2026; build begins in early 2027 within an expected two-year transformation.
Reporting to the Enterprise Systems Implementation Lead, you will turn agreed priorities and architecture into delivery. You will produce technical artefacts, challenge partner proposals and work with business owners and technical teams across configuration, integration, migration, testing and release.
The Lead retains overall direction and programme decisions. You will own the technical approach, quality and acceptance evidence, with build, migration and test execution resourced through agreed partner and internal responsibilities. In this investor-backed business, you will work at pace and make sound recommendations with incomplete information.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery with implementation partners: Translate scope into work packages, configuration decisions and acceptance criteria. Agree partner and internal responsibilities and capacity during solutioning. Challenge estimates and designs, resolve dependencies and hold partners to agreed outcomes.
- Complete technical assurance and prepare for implementation: Pick up outstanding technical evaluation, Blueprint and contracting activities, then translate agreed commitments into implementation plans. Assess platform fit, integrations, API access, non-functional requirements and delivery approach. Gather security evidence and complete technical reference checks.
- Own the integration detail: Maintain the integration inventory, data contracts and system-of-record matrix. Work with Data and BI on the target data platform and integration layer within the agreed architecture.
- Own the migration approach and plan: Define history scope, cut-off dates, data quality checks, mappings, reconciliation and acceptance evidence with data owners and delivery specialists. Agree a resourced migration plan and repeatable approach for onboarding acquired businesses.
- Maintain the sizing baseline: Keep users, entities, transaction volumes and data assumptions consistent through final offers, Blueprint and implementation planning.
- Manage technical delivery costs and TCO inputs: Maintain multi-year TCO estimates covering implementation, licences, integration, migration, internal resources, support, cloud, data and BI costs. Compare supplier proposals, track spend against budget and assess variances.
- Own testing and release readiness: Agree the test approach, coverage, environments, data and resourcing. Drive defect resolution, cutover and hypercare, ensuring effective handover, documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Keep delivery under control: Maintain the technical delivery plan, dependencies, risks, issues and decisions. Investigate gaps, propose options and escalate decisions with clear consequences and dates.
- Represent the Implementation Lead: Deputise in working sessions with functions, suppliers and partners. Produce concise, accurate delivery and decision material.

Person specification
Your background
You may be a Manager or hands-on Senior Manager in a Big Four or specialist implementation consultancy, or a delivery manager in an agency, media or professional services business. Equivalent backgrounds are welcome where candidates demonstrate the same relevant application implementation experience.
Essential skills:
- Hands-on enterprise application delivery: Delivered modern enterprise SaaS implementations from design through go-live, with personal ownership across at least two of ERP, CRM and PSA and depth in at least one. Relevant platforms include Salesforce, Certinia, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, Productive, HubSpot or comparable products.
- Services business understanding: Experience delivering for agency, media, consulting or professional services businesses, or comparable project and retainer models. Understand how pipeline, projects, resourcing, utilisation, time, billing and margin connect.
- Practical technical ownership: Able to explain integration choices, source-to-target mappings, data quality and reconciliation, test coverage and cutover decisions personally owned. Understand APIs, iPaaS, event-based integration, access controls and auditability.
- Implementation partner management: Managed a systems integrator or implementation partner against a statement of work, including change control and formal acceptance. Able to challenge scope, configuration and delivery proposals and maintain an independent customer view of progress and quality.
- Commercial delivery discipline: Experience managing implementation budgets, challenging supplier estimates and contributing to TCO assessments for enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Independent delivery in ambiguity: Take an agreed objective, investigate missing information, propose a workable approach and carry it through with limited support.
- Curiosity and drive: Learn unfamiliar platforms quickly, ask precise questions and stay engaged with detailed problem-solving.
- Clear communication: Work credibly with business owners and technical specialists, explain trade-offs plainly and write concise plans, technical artefacts and recommendations.

Desirable
- Acquisition integration or onboarding businesses onto shared platforms; multi-entity and multi-currency delivery.
- Private equity or investor-backed environments, and familiarity with planning, enterprise BI or data platforms.
Practicalities
- Location: London, two days in the office max.
