Within Debt Advisory, the Ratings & Capital Structure Advisory advices clients in ratings and generally all debt related matters. This includes (generally for corporate clients):
- Formal ratings advisory in first time ratings or material corporate events (such as acquisitions, recaps or corporate restructuring).
- Capital structure advice (debt capacity, dividend policy, holdco debt implications, minorities implications, debt at parent vs subsidiary etc…), helping elevate level of dialogue with clients.
- Partnering with M&A and / or financing products (corporate lending, DCM, ECM, project finance) to understand implications of any given transaction, to optimize structure of a potential transaction or to suggest key structure implications. Additionally help discussing with Risk department complex situations or transactions as required.

About the job:
This position will have the following content / responsibilities:
- Support team seniors to perform research, modelling, analysis and presentation tasks needed to advice clients on ratings, capital structure and generally all debt related matters.
- Model different corporates and scenarios.
- Work as a team with internal origination partners such as Corporate Lending, Project Finance, Project Finance Advisory, DCM, M&A, ECM to support origination efforts.
- Be up to date in general admin, recordkeeping tasks assigned.
- Be up to date in Rating Agency methodologies.
- Use and update all internal tools for recording activity, fees, staffing etc.
We are looking for a motivated individual with both technical and commercial skills and with a drive for excellence. The successful candidate should:

- Have around 1-2 years experience in a Financial Institution, Rating Agency, Boutique or Corporate, ideally in the areas of Corporate Finance, Rating Advisory, Capital Structure Advisory, or any financing product.
- Have basic skills in financial modelling and corporate finance, and ideally some credit analysis knowledge.
- Demonstrate high command of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Spanish, French, German or Italian is a plus.
- Be able to display senior team member’s analysis and thoughts in professional documents aimed to be presented to either external or internal clients, with excellence in the delivery.
- Be able to work in a team and be highly motivated to continuous learning.
- Hold a BA of Business Management or Economics and/or MBA, or a similar degree.
