Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Coordinator (VSG UK)

Job Purpose
The ESG Coordinator will support the development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of the Company's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy. Working closely with Business Unit Leaders, Portfolio Managers, ESG Champions, and Senior Leadership Teams globally, the role will coordinate ESG activities, monitor progress against agreed objectives, support ESG reporting, and help drive the achievement of the Company's global ESG goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the rollout of the Company's ESG strategy across all business units.
- Work collaboratively with Business Unit Leaders, Portfolio Managers, and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure ESG objectives are embedded within business plans and operational activities, including the completion of the ESG Scorecard on a quarterly basis.
- Coordinate ESG projects and initiatives, ensuring agreed milestones, deadlines, and deliverables are achieved.
- Monitor progress against ESG targets and support the collection and analysis of ESG-related data and metrics.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and delays in ESG submissions, working with stakeholders to resolve issues and escalating material risks where appropriate.
- Maintain ESG project plans, documentation, action logs, and reporting dashboards.
- Support the preparation of ESG reports, updates, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate and support ESG Champions across the business with carbon calculation data collection and the use of the Sweep platform.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support the implementation of new ESG initiatives aligned to the Company's global goals.
- Provide support and training on ESG to new business unit leaders and ESG champions as required.
- Support the collation of information required for ESG reporting and compliance activities, working with internal subject matter experts and external advisers where appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
- Experience coordinating projects and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse information and present findings clearly and accurately.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data and reporting.
- Ability to identify trends, anomalies, and gaps within data submissions.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential business information appropriately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across different levels of the organisation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in ESG, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or a related field.
- Experience working with sustainability reporting systems or ESG data collection platforms.
- Experience coordinating activities across multiple business units or regions.
- Knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and emerging sustainability trends.
- Experience producing reports and tracking performance metrics.
