ESG Reporting Support Officer at Vodafone

This role focuses on supporting ESG data reporting to the group level across Vodafone’s business units. The ideal candidate combines passion for reporting, compliance, and relationship-building with a driven, analytical mindset to support compliance with CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and UK SRS regulations.
The key purpose of this role is:
- Supporting the delivery, review, and validation of ESG data across operating companies and group functions.
- Ensuring completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance in reporting.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed best practices and improve ESG processes—including opportunities for automation.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for a specified area of ESG reporting, providing expert guidance and creating internal clouds of support.
- Producing key reports, data analyses, and policy recommendations to drive future ESG strategy.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the delivery of ESG information from business units across operating companies and core group functions.
- Acting as the go-to expert for a designated area of reporting, ensuring compliance and assurance against regulatory frameworks.
- Reviewing and challenging ESG data—ensuring accuracy, validation, and submission—across multiple KPIs and diverse data sources.
- Driving change by implementing Group policies and rectifying process shortcomings within your responsibility area.
- Continuously monitoring opportunities for process improvements, including automation in data collection.
- Providing key reports and data insights for internal stakeholders to support operational decisions and cross-group programme management aligned with Vodafone’s ESG and local targets.

Requirements & Qualifications
Must-have skills and experience:
- Accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) or comparable professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a reporting function for a large organisation within a matrix’d/controlled environment.
- Strong knowledge of EU and UK ESG-reporting regulations, including CSRD, the EU Taxonomy, and the UK Sustainability Reporting Standards (SRS).
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across multiple functions, even under pressures to deliver against pre-set targets.
- Strong communication skills, with excellence in writing and presenting data—critical for credibility with senior leadership.
- Cross-functional collaboration skills: ability to deliver results with structured, regulated data submissions subject to external assurance.
