Level: Graduate / Entry Level

Build Your Career in ESG — With the Support to Become a Future Leader

Are you passionate about sustainability, responsible investment and the role finance can play in creating a more sustainable future?

Are you looking for more than just an entry-level job — a role where you can develop commercially valuable ESG expertise, gain exposure to real investment and sustainability decisions, and have your professional qualifications supported?

We are looking for an ambitious ESG Trainee to join our London team.

This is an opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career to work alongside experienced ESG and investment professionals while developing the technical, analytical and commercial skills needed to build a long-term career in ESG, sustainable finance or responsible investment.

What You'll Be Doing

As an ESG Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience across areas such as:

  • Supporting ESG research and analysis across companies, sectors and investments
  • Analysing environmental, social and governance data and identifying key trends
  • Supporting ESG due diligence and investment research
  • Assisting with sustainability and responsible-investment reporting
  • Contributing to ESG dashboards, presentations and client materials
  • Monitoring developments in ESG regulation, climate policy and sustainable finance
  • Researching companies' sustainability strategies, climate targets and ESG performance
  • Working with senior colleagues to translate complex ESG information into clear commercial insights
  • Supporting projects relating to climate risk, carbon emissions, governance, stewardship and responsible investment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
