Summary

What you'll do

As an Estates Contract Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our estates are safe, clean and well maintained for residents and communities. You'll be responsible for overseeing cleaning and grounds maintenance contracts, ensuring services are delivered to a high standard, provide value for money and enhance the places our residents call home.

Working closely with contractors, colleagues and residents, you'll help ensure our estates remain welcoming environments while supporting the delivery of compliance-related works and helping to keep our homes safe.

How you'll do it

  • Manage cleaning and grounds maintenance contracts to ensure services are delivered effectively, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, residents and stakeholders, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Lead and support Caretakers, Estates Officers and the wider Estates team, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and resources are deployed appropriately.
  • Monitor contractor performance using data, inspections and feedback to identify improvement opportunities and drive higher standards.
  • Support the delivery of estates compliance activities, ensuring actions arising from Fire Risk Assessments are completed accurately and on time.
  • Carry out site visits and inspections, working with colleagues and contractors to maintain safe and attractive environments for residents.
  • Ensure KPIs, policies, procedures and compliance requirements are consistently met across the service

Essential:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience in contract management, project management or a similar role.
  • Experience managing estate services contracts.
  • Experience in managing operational teams and managing contractor performance.
  • An understanding of health and safety, compliance and Fire Risk Assessment processes within housing or property environment.

This role is subject to a basic DBS check.
