Estate Manager – Residential & Mixed-Use Development

East London

£65,000 – £70,000 + Bonus
30+ Days' Holiday
Full-time | On-site

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Estate Manager to take ownership of a prestigious residential development in East London, which also incorporates a number of commercial units.

This is a significant on-site leadership role for someone who wants to really make a development their own.

You will be visible, engaged and know what is happening across your site. From leading and developing the on-site team to overseeing building operations, contractors, compliance and the resident experience, you will set the standards and make sure they are consistently delivered.

We are particularly interested in someone proactive and forward-thinking – an Estate Manager who doesn't simply react to problems, but anticipates them, takes ownership and continually looks for ways to make things better.

If you are someone who walks a development and naturally notices what needs attention, enjoys getting the best from a team and takes genuine pride in the environment you manage, this could be an excellent opportunity.

The Role

As Estate Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the development, ensuring it operates smoothly, safely and to an exceptional standard.

This is your site to run. You will be visible across the development, leading the on-site team, building strong relationships with residents and occupiers and ensuring contractors and service partners consistently deliver.

You will have the autonomy to identify what needs attention, make things happen and continually look for ways to improve the operation, presentation and overall experience of the development.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of the daily operation, presentation and performance of the development
  • Leading, motivating and developing the on-site team, creating a positive and accountable culture
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of customer service and resident experience
  • Overseeing contractors and suppliers and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard
  • Taking responsibility for planned and reactive maintenance and ensuring issues are followed through to resolution
  • Maintaining oversight of plant, equipment and the wider operational performance of the development
  • Taking the lead on Health & Safety, fire safety, emergency procedures and site compliance
  • Monitoring expenditure and ensuring the development operates effectively within agreed budgets
  • Managing defects and snagging issues with relevant parties
  • Maintaining high standards of security, access control and overall site safety
  • Building strong relationships with residents, commercial occupiers, contractors and other stakeholders
  • Taking ownership of complaints, emergencies and complex operational issues
  • Reviewing existing systems and procedures and introducing improvements where they will enhance efficiency, service or the resident experience
  • Being proactive in identifying potential issues and addressing them before they become problems

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
