Estate Officer/Trainee (Building)
Band 6 (£43,231 - £52,679)
Band 5 (£34,544 - £43,039)
PERMANENT
A permanent opportunity has arisen for the Property Department, Estates Division to recruit an Estate Officer to be operational within our Estates Team within Ninewells & Dundee Dental Hospital based at Ninewells Hospital to assist the Assistant Estates Manager(s) to meet the operational and (where required) strategic objectives within NHS Tayside.
Consideration will be given to candidates who may not have the suitable experience or necessary qualifications for appointment as a Trainee, all desirable requirements will have to be met.
NOTE: The renumeration for any candidate appointed under a training provision will be band 5 (£34,544 - £43,039).
Main Duties:
- Ensure compliance of service within agreed Statutory, Mandatory, Safety, Environmental, Quality Standards, Policies and Procedures.
- Design, Project Manage and implement all delegated projects.
- Deputise for the Assistant Estates Manager or Maintenance Manager as required.
- The post holder may be required to work at any NHS Tayside Property as necessary.

The main duties will be to install, repair and maintain the healthcare built environment and building services plant and equipment within all properties of the organisation in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely, and to ensure the smooth operation of the mechanical systems within the organisation.
Requirements:
- Participation in an on call rota.
- The ability to travel between NHS sites.
- Achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
- Comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
