Join a landmark community in North West London set within beautifully landscaped grounds. You’ll help keep an environment featuring concierge services, a gym, pool, spa, residents’ lounge and expansive communal gardens running smoothly and looking its best. With Colindale Underground station moments away on the Northern line, the development attracts busy professionals and families who value a well-kept, friendly and secure place to call home, making your work highly visible and genuinely appreciated.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You will be the on-the-ground guardian of the estate’s standards, keeping communal areas spotless, safe and well presented while supporting residents and the on-site team. You will carry out routine cleaning, waste management, basic maintenance, and grounds care, proactively reporting and following up on any issues to keep the development operating seamlessly.
What Success Looks Like
- Communal areas are consistently clean, tidy and ready for residents at all times.
- Waste and recycling are handled efficiently, safely and on schedule, with bin stores kept immaculate.
- Minor repairs are completed promptly, and larger issues are clearly reported and tracked to resolution.
- The grounds and external areas are well cared for, hazard-free and welcoming.
- Residents feel listened to, supported and informed through courteous, proactive communication.
- Health and safety standards are embedded in your daily work, with risks identified and addressed early.

How You'll Spend Most Of Your Time
- Cleaning and presenting lobbies, corridors, lifts, stairwells, windows and amenity areas to a high standard.
- Managing waste and recycling collections, maintaining clean bin stores and undertaking periodic deep cleans.
- Carrying out basic maintenance and defect checks; logging, escalating and following up on repairs.
- Supporting the wider on-site team with deliveries, contractor access and estate inspections.
- Caring for external areas, including litter picking, sweeping, jet washing and basic grounds tasks.
- Completing daily checklists, stock control for cleaning materials and accurate record-keeping.

Experience That Helps
- Experience in an estate operative, caretaker, facilities or housekeeping role within residential or hospitality settings.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, tools and machinery, including safe chemical use and COSHH awareness.
- Basic DIY skills for small repairs and the confidence to identify and report larger faults.
- Experience managing waste and recycling processes in busy sites.
- Comfortable using checklists, logs and handheld devices to record tasks and report issues.
