Foresight Estate Planning & Will Writing | Insight Group

Norwich | Full-time

About Us

Build a career in estate planning – not simply a job in Will writing

Foresight Estate Planning & Will Writing is looking for ambitious, professional Estate Planning Consultants who want to build a successful long-term career helping families protect their wealth and plan for the next generation.

Our approach is based on understanding the whole family picture – their property, investments, pensions, businesses, tax position and, most importantly, the people they ultimately want to protect. That means our consultants do far more than simply take Will instructions. You will learn to identify the issues a family may face, explain those issues in plain English and develop an estate planning strategy designed around their individual circumstances. For the right person, this is an opportunity to become a genuinely accomplished Estate Planner.

Who are Foresight?

Foresight Estate Planning & Will Writing has been part of the Insight Group since 2003 and has developed from a specialist Will-writing company into a comprehensive estate planning business. Today, our work ranges from straightforward Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney through to sophisticated estate and succession planning involving:

  • Inheritance Tax planning
  • Will and lifetime trusts
  • Family wealth protection
  • Business succession
  • Intergenerational planning
  • Later-life planning
  • Vulnerable beneficiaries
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Financial and investment planning

What makes Foresight different is that estate planning does not operate in isolation. As part of the wider Insight Group, our consultants work alongside financial planners, solicitors, probate specialists, accountants and professional trustees. This allows us to look beyond the Will itself and consider the client’s wider financial and family circumstances.

It also creates an environment in which an Estate Planning Consultant can continually develop their knowledge and experience. Foresight is a member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters and works to its Code of Practice, which is approved under the Chartered Trading Standards Institute Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Professionalism, transparency and doing the right thing for the client sit at the heart of how we work.

The Role

As an Estate Planning Consultant, you will conduct meetings with new and existing clients, learning their family and financial circumstances, identify potential risks and opportunities and prepare clear recommendations. Depending upon the client’s circumstances, this could involve Wills, Powers of Attorney and straightforward family planning, or more complex matters involving trusts, Inheritance Tax, investments, businesses and intergenerational wealth.

Just as importantly, you will build relationships. We believe estate planning should be an ongoing relationship rather than a one-off transaction. Families change, legislation changes and wealth changes. Our role is to remain alongside our clients and help their planning evolve with them. You will therefore look after existing relationships as well as develop new ones.

Developing your own professional network

A successful Estate Planner also develops strong professional relationships. You will have the opportunity to work closely with financial advisers and other professional introducers, helping them identify estate planning opportunities within their own client banks and providing a trusted estate planning service for their clients.

This is an important part of the role and provides considerable scope for an ambitious consultant to develop their own network and client base. You won’t, however, be expected to build a career completely from scratch. Foresight has an established client base, professional relationships and the wider resources of the Insight Group behind you.

Who are we looking for?

We are interested in people who already have experience within estate planning, Will writing, financial services, private client law or another client-facing professional environment. Knowledge of areas such as trusts, Inheritance Tax, investments, insurance or financial planning would be particularly valuable.

But technical knowledge alone isn’t enough, the best Estate Planners are people who can sit with a family, listen carefully, understand what really matters to them and explain complicated subjects in a way that makes sense. We are therefore looking for someone who is:

  • Professional, ethical and genuinely client focused
  • Confident communicating with clients and professional advisers
  • Comfortable discussing financial and family circumstances
  • Commercially minded and interested in developing relationships
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Curious and keen to continually develop their technical knowledge
  • Able to turn complex estate planning concepts into straightforward, practical advice

Relevant qualifications in estate planning, financial services, law or taxation would be advantageous, as would membership of an appropriate professional body.

What we can offer you

This is where we believe Foresight is different, we want people who are looking to build a career. At Foresight you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge across all of those areas while working alongside experienced professionals from across the Insight Group.

You will have access to established clients, professional introducers and a broad range of planning expertise, while also being encouraged to develop your own relationships and reputation, most importantly, you will be trusted to give individual advice.

We provide a competitive basic salary package with travel expenses, targeted bonuses and additional income streams.

If you are ambitious, professional and enjoy working with people – and you want to develop into an Estate Planner capable of advising families on everything from straightforward Wills to complex intergenerational planning – we would like to hear from you.
