Estate Services Manager
We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Estate Services Manager to lead frontline estate services across a defined geographical area.
Estate Services sits at the frontline of our housing service and is often the first and most frequent point of contact for residents. As an Estate Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing teams delivering high-quality estate services, such as grounds maintenance, cleaning, waste management, and associated contractor services.
You’ll oversee day-to-day service delivery, carry out regular estate inspections, and ensure standards are met consistently. You’ll work closely with contractors and colleagues across Housing and Neighbourhood teams to identify issues early, resolve problems effectively, and improve resident satisfaction. A key part of the role is ensuring health & safety compliance, effective use of resources, and continuous service improvement.
You’ll be based at one of our local estate offices and may occasionally be required to work from other locations or attend meetings outside core business hours.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
