Job Description
Job Title: Estate Services Operative-Driver
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £27,150.59 per annum
Working Hours: 35 Hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Location: London

You will attend various sites owned and managed by The Riverside Group to maintain and monitor communal internal and external spaces, ensuring they are clean, safe and maintained to the required standard.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Must have full UK drivers licence
- Knowledge of cleaning methods.
- Knowledge of cleaning tools and appropriate product selection.
- Knowledge and experience in the safe use of powered cleaning equipment and hand tools.
- Appropriate competency-based training and experience.

Role Profile
- Carry out cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping, litter picking and the safe removal of dog waste.
- Keep car parks, bin stores and communal areas swept, clean and tidy.
- Clear bulky waste from sites where this has not been delegated to the Bulk Waste Team.
- Report all site-related matters to management, including health and safety concerns and any issues affecting the internal or external maintenance of sites.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, customers and colleagues at all times.
- Provide cover for colleagues during periods of sickness or annual leave. This may include undertaking additional reasonable duties as required.
- Where trained and applicable, undertake basic grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, hedge trimming, edging, weed control, sweeping and litter picking.
- Carry out site patrols and report issues identified, including faulty external lighting, hazards, damage or evidence of antisocial behaviour.
- Carry out checks of communal areas and report repairs, health and safety concerns or other issues requiring attention.
- Drive the allocated company vehicle between sites to undertake scheduled Estate Services duties.
- Carry out required vehicle checks and report any vehicle defects or safety concerns in accordance with Riverside procedures.
- Safely transport and secure tools, equipment, materials and other work-related items in the company vehicle.
- Use cleaning equipment, powered equipment and hand tools safely and in accordance with relevant procedures and training.
- Follow relevant health and safety procedures and safe systems of work and use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Person Specification
Essential
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Must have full UK drivers licence
- Knowledge of cleaning methods.
- Knowledge of cleaning tools and appropriate product selection.
- Knowledge and experience in the safe use of powered cleaning equipment and hand tools.
- Appropriate competency-based training and experience.
- Knowledge and correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understanding of and compliance with relevant health and safety requirements.
- Awareness of risk assessment, including risks to residents, colleagues and members of the public during operations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow reasonable management instructions.
- Ability to communicate with residents and customers in a polite, courteous and professional manner.
- A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
- Ability to safely operate the allocated company vehicle and undertake basic vehicle safety checks.
Desirable
- PA1/PA6 certification where relevant to pesticide or herbicide application duties.
- BICSc or similar cleaning industry qualification.
- First Aid at Work or similar qualification.
- Relevant health and safety certification.
