Estates Surveyor

£500 per day (umbrella) | Morden, Hybrid | 3 – 6 Month Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to join a busy public sector property team on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded surveyor with strong estate management, valuation and development experience to take responsibility for a diverse property portfolio and provide high-quality professional advice across a large and complex organisation.

The Role:

  • Managing a diverse commercial and operational property portfolio.
  • Undertaking and supporting valuations, rental assessments and rent reviews.
  • Negotiating and managing leases, renewals, easements, wayleaves and licences.
  • Leading on the acquisition and disposal of land and property, including surplus assets.
  • Providing advice on development proposals, viability and commercial redevelopment.
  • Supporting projects involving planning applications and complex property matters.
  • Advising senior officers and stakeholders on land, property and estate management issues.
  • Undertaking property inspections and advising on condition and potential maintenance requirements.

About You:

  • MRICS/FRICS status.
  • Significant experience across lettings, acquisitions, disposals and valuations.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property and estate management.
  • Experience with rent reviews, lease negotiations and property transactions.
  • Knowledge of compulsory purchase, compensation, rating and asset valuations.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, RICS standards and professional practice.
