Estates Administrator

Lord Wandsworth College
Hook, Hampshire
£29,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Most administrator roles keep you busy. Here’s one that could take you somewhere.

If you’ve already gained some experience in administration, property, facilities, projects or a coordination role, this could be your opportunity to build a career in estates.

Lord Wandsworth College is investing in its estate, its team and the way its estates function operates. You’ll join that team at an interesting time, helping to keep the systems, contractors, projects and maintenance activity behind a large and varied estate organised.

About the Role

Some of the job is straightforward administration.

  • Filing
  • Scanning
  • Updating records
  • Making sure the right paperwork is in the right place

But you won’t just be processing paperwork.

  • You’ll keep an eye on the estates helpdesk
  • Spot jobs that aren’t progressing and ask the questions that help move them forward
  • Coordinate with contractors
  • Help arrange servicing
  • Support projects
  • Ensure the wider estates and property team has the information it needs

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This could be it.

Requirements

You don’t need years of estates experience. But you will need some experience in an administrative or coordination role. More importantly, you’ll have the confidence to look at something, ask the right question and follow it through rather than simply passing it on.
