Location: The Prince of Wales Hospice, WF8 4BG

Salary: £40,635 - £45,153 (dependent on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Are you an experienced Estates and Facilities professional looking for a role where your work makes a real difference? We're seeking an Estates and Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of Estates and Facilities services across The Prince of Wales Hospice and our retail estate.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a values-driven organisation and play a key role in ensuring our buildings, services and environments are safe, compliant and fit for purpose for patients, families, staff, volunteers and visitors.

About The Role

Reporting to the Director of Estates & Facilities, you'll lead a small but dedicated team and be responsible for managing both hard and soft FM services across the Hospice and approximately 10 retail sites.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing planned and reactive maintenance programmes
  • Ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance across all sites
  • Leading housekeeping, waste and environmental services
  • Managing contractors, suppliers and service contracts
  • Supporting capital projects and estates developments
  • Promoting a strong culture of health, safety and continuous improvement
  • Acting as Authorised Person (Water) and supporting water safety compliance

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • HNC/HND, Level 4/5 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Estates Management, Facilities Management or related discipline or significant equivalent experience
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification
  • Experience managing estates, facilities or engineering services
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and health & safety requirements
  • Experience managing contractors and maintenance programmes
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage priorities across multiple sites
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to high-quality service delivery
  • Experience within healthcare, hospice or multi-site environments would be advantageous
