The Vacancy
Do you have experience managing estates maintenance and landscaping services? As an Estates Manager at Amplius, you’ll lead our Estates Maintenance Team, manage contractors and programmes of work, and help ensure customers enjoy safe, well-maintained outdoor spaces across the South Region.
Salary: £51,033.36 (plus car allowance of £2,750.28) per year
Contract: Permanent, full time
Your week: 36.25 hours - Monday to Friday 8:45am to 5pm
Location: Hybrid - weekly presence in our Milton Keynes office (with travel across our operational regions as required)

Snapshot of your role
- Lead and manage the Estates Maintenance Team, supporting colleagues to develop their skills and promoting a strong health and safety culture.
- Plan and manage programmes for grounds maintenance, void gardens, communal grass cutting and tree works, using both in-house teams and contractors.
- Oversee the Assisted Gardening Scheme, estate maintenance assessments and post-inspections, ensuring work meets required standards and budgets.
- Lead on arboriculture work, including surveys, and ensure the tree management strategy is effectively delivered.
- Manage contractors, suppliers, equipment and materials, including procurement and the servicing and maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Set and manage annual budgets, monitor financial and service performance, manage risks and use mapping data to support effective estates maintenance.

What You’ll Need To Thrive In This Role
- GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Level 4 QCF recognised housing management qualification, or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience managing and leading a large remote team within a property services environment, including contractors and suppliers.
- Knowledge of ground maintenance practices and experience delivering landscaping projects, including planting and future maintenance recommendations.
- Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, planning and organisational skills, with experience managing budgets, risks and programmes of work.
Important - A full UK drivers licence, access to your own vehicle, and right to work in the UK are essential requirements. We do not provide sponsorship.
