Wolfson College – one of the University of Oxford’s largest and most international graduate colleges – is looking for a dynamic and experienced Estates Manager to lead the planning and delivery of both planned and unplanned maintenance, as well as new works programmes, across their vibrant and diverse Grade II listed estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, motivating and developing the College maintenance team.
  • Commissioning, controlling and coordinating all estate contractors.
  • Developing and executing high-quality planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programmes.
  • Overseeing statutory compliance, including fire safety, legionella, asbestos and health & safety.
  • Managing the maintenance and new works budgets.
  • Delivering refurbishment and improvement projects on time and within budget.
  • Conducting estate inspections and surveys and develop and manage the long term estate plan.

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive supervisory and people management experience within an estates, property or maintenance environment.
  • Experience managing contractors and maintenance projects.
  • Good knowledge of building services including heating, water and drainage systems.
  • A sound understanding of health and safety legislation and risk assessments.
  • Strong organisational, communication and IT skills.
  • A collaborative approach and excellent customer service skills.
  • A Health & Safety qualification.

Salary

£50,742 per annum (includes the basic salary, Oxford weighting, travel allowance, and a food allowance up to £2,586 per annum).
