Estates Officer - Fixed-Term Contract
We have an exciting opportunity for an Estates Officer to join us on a Fixed-Term Contract till 31st March 2027 to help deliver a high-quality estate management service to our tenants, ensuring their property is one they're proud to call home.
About the Role
Your role will be to deliver a high-quality estate management service that reduces the risk of harm to residents, damage to our assets and tenancy failure, through professional and timely interventions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of all communal and non-communal spaces with a focus on safety and performance, managing our contracts
- Proactively manage abandonments, pest and vermin treatments and estate improvements
- Oversee Health and Safety functions including managing emergency response plans and fire risk actions
- Form effective relationships with customers to maximise the duration of their tenancy from sign-up to termination
- Collaborate with customers in order to shape, develop and continually improve our services

Travel Requirements
You'll be required to travel for this role regularly, therefore our ideal candidate will either hold a full UK driving licence or evidence of the ability to travel throughout the area of operation. To deliver this role successfully, expect to be out on patch 4 days per week with 1 day per week working from Bath Row, West Midlands Hub or from home dependent on business needs.
Ideal Candidate
Your CV and covering letter will demonstrate the following:
- Experience working within housing management, estate management or a similar property-based role, with responsibility for managing a geographical patch, portfolio or group of properties.
- Experience managing estate or environmental services, such as grounds maintenance, communal cleaning, fly-tipping, pest control or other neighbourhood/estate-related issues.
- Experience working with external agencies or partner organisations, such as Local Authorities, the Police, contractors or other community partners, to resolve property, estate or community-related issues.
- Experience supporting building and/or estate safety activities, such as fire safety actions, property or estate inspections, site walkarounds, health and safety checks or monitoring compliance actions.
