Job Summary

Salary: From £70,000 Depending on Experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Location: 33 Grosvenor Place, London, SW1X 7HY (on-site only)

Contract: Permanent, Full time

What Are We Looking For?

Cleveland Clinic London is looking to recruit an Estates Operation Manager to join the Estates Team.

We are seeking someone to provide leadership, management, and development of the Estates & Facilities services, ensuring operational commitments & Key Performance Indicators are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, management, and development of the Estates & Facilities services.
  • Ensure Cleveland Clinic London policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the Estates services.
  • Develop Preventative Maintenance needed for maintaining building systems in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and relevant HTM and HBN's.
  • Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across CCL.
  • Ensure optimum staffing structures operate to ensure the delivery of service excellence.
  • Ensure structures support workload requirements.
  • Ensure post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.
  • Work with other operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of support services, effective team working, and support to caregivers.
  • Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, mandatory, and policy commitments are met.
  • Ensure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key stakeholders and caregivers.
  • Provision of leadership and guidance, advice, coaching, and direct support, where required, to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment, and recognition/reward.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Need From You?

  • Professional/academic qualification at degree level or equivalent experience in a Technical or Estates discipline.
  • Good knowledge of statutory and mandatory tasks required for infrastructure systems.
  • Formal EITB/CITB Craft Apprenticeship (desirable).
  • Evidence of continuing personal and professional development in Estates & Facilities Management disciplines.
  • Authorised Person qualification.
  • Registration as a member of IHEEM/IWFM or similar.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and safety or IOSH Health and Safety and working towards NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Significant experience in a senior manager position, in the estates and facilities management sector.
  • Evidence of successful projects/programmes of work within agreed constraints, e.g., budgets, timescales.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of best practice in Hard FM standards, and a robust knowledge base of NHS technical guidance and standards (HTM's and HBN's).
  • At least one relevant area of technical expertise (electrical, fire, medical gases, decontamination, water safety, etc).
  • Demonstrable experience of having managed teams, Operational budgets, and contracts.
  • Strong understanding and experience of Operational Building Services is essential.
  • Previous experience of CAFM Systems is required.
