Join Us as Estates Planning Managers
South Wales Police are looking for two individuals to Join Us as Estates Planning Managers in our Estates Capital Team. Could you be who we are looking for?
About the Team/Department You Will Be Joining
The successful candidate will join the Estates Capital Team, working with a small team of dedicated individuals, to undertake major new build projects across the South Wales Police area.
- Positions: Full-time, 4 years fixed-term
- Workdays: Monday-Friday, occasional evenings and weekends
- Work Model: Hybrid working, combining office-based working with the flexibility to work from home, subject to operational requirements.
- Location: Predominantly at Police Headquarters, Bridgend, with travel to and work from project locations across the force operating area as required.
About the Role and Your Key Responsibilities
We are looking for two Estates Planning Managers to assist the Estates Capital Team in the delivery of new build construction projects which are operationally critical to the service provided by South Wales Police.
- Responsibilities:
- Manage a project from concept to handover of a major construction contract.
- Provide specialist advice on complex construction related issues.
- The role can be challenging due to the wide range of duties undertaken, however is very rewarding upon completion of projects.

Skills and Experience We Need You to Bring to the Role
- Qualifications: The successful candidate holds an appropriate construction related qualification.
- Experience: Previous experience of managing large and complex building projects in addition to managing Finance and the administration of budgets.
