About London Transport Museum
London Transport Museum is the world's leading museum of urban transport and an education and heritage charity that tells the story of how transport has shaped London over the last 200 years. From its iconic home in Covent Garden to the Acton Depot and a number of unique heritage sites, the Museum cares for one of the world's most significant transport collections while welcoming visitors from across the globe. As the Museum continues to invest in its estate, sustainability ambitions and visitor experience, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering projects that preserve London's past, support its present and help shape its future.
Shape the Future of a Unique Estate
We're looking for an experienced Estates Project Manager to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of estates, facilities and infrastructure projects across the London Transport Museum estate.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how busy public buildings work and has a strong background in facilities management, estates projects and building services.
You'll lead projects from concept through to completion, delivering everything from major roof repairs, building fabric upgrades and office moves through to decarbonisation programmes, and Building Management System (BMS) improvements. Managing multiple sites, contractors and stakeholders, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to business operations. Post-completion, you will maintain operational oversight of selected ancillary sites, including disused London Underground spaces, implementing and overseeing ongoing maintenance and keyholding. If you thrive in complex, fast-paced environments, have a track record of delivering estates and facilities projects that make a real impact and have excellent stakeholder and internal communications skills we'd love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
