Rate: £287.36 per day Umbrella

Summary

This is a 4-month contract opportunity with a local authority, offering a daily rate of £287.36 under an umbrella arrangement. The role involves providing expert estate management, valuation, and property advisory services to optimize the Council's property portfolio. The position is crucial in supporting the strategic management, acquisition, disposal, development, and valuation of the Council's estate, ensuring compliance with statutory, professional, and corporate standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Council's commercial and residential properties.
  • Conduct lease renewals, rent reviews, new lettings, assignments, licenses, and surrenders.
  • Oversee the administration of rent rolls, service charges, and tenancy issues.
  • Negotiate property transactions and draft Heads of Terms.
  • Coordinate with legal professionals on property-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in estate management within a local authority or commercial property setting.
  • Expertise in landlord and tenant issues, including lease renewals and property negotiations.
  • Experience in conducting or assisting with property valuations.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports, recommendations, and business cases.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Estate Management, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field.
  • Membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or in the process of obtaining professional qualification.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to transportation for site visits, if necessary.

  • Pay rate: Flexible
  • Location: High Street, Esher, Surrey, KT10 9SD, United Kingdom
  • Work pattern: 3 to 4 days in the office
  • Payment schedule: Bi-weekly
