Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

Oxfam’s property portfolio comprises approximately 500 shops plus warehouses, offices, and residential properties situated across the country. Your role would be to help our Estates Surveyors to deliver an estates management service that’s high quality and cost-effective and which adds value. You will make a big difference to our business.

The Role:

  • You will provide support to our Estates Surveyors, helping them manage our large portfolio of properties.
  • The work is varied and interesting with opportunities for on-the-job learning.
  • We will rely on your support when it comes to resolving estates management issues, addressing repairs, and processing and approval of invoices.
  • We will look to you to help manage our residential sublet portfolio and to put together the information we need to acquire properties, renew leases, and review rents.
  • You will play an important part in ensuring the Estates team is able to implement the Retail Strategy, support our shops network, and add value.

If you have any questions about the role, we'd love to hear from you. Please e-mail us at recruitmentteam@oxfam.org.uk, making sure you include the job title and reference number of the role you're asking about. Please be aware we are unable to accept CVs or applications via e-mail. To apply, please use the "apply now" button on the right-hand side of this advertisement.

What we are looking for:

  • We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability, and inclusion in all you do.
  • We will also expect you to have a keen interest in property and a can-do attitude to getting the job done.
  • You will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and analytical, good at solving problems, managing your time, and juggling priorities. You will thrive on teamwork.
  • Knowledge of commercial and residential property would be useful; however, if we feel you’ve got what it takes, we’ll invest in your training and development.
  • You should be numerate and able to express yourself clearly both verbally and in writing in the form of letters, emails, reports, and minutes of meetings.
  • The ability to work within Oxfam’s values is essential.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About us

Oxfam is a global community who believe poverty isn’t inevitable. It’s an injustice that can be overcome. We are shop volunteers, women’s rights activists, marathon runners, aid workers, coffee farmers, street fundraisers, goat herders, policy experts, campaigners, water engineers, and more. And we won’t stop until everyone can live life without poverty for good.

Oxfam GB is a member of the international confederation of 21 organisations working together with partners and local communities in the areas of humanitarian, development, and campaigning, in more than 90 countries.

A thriving diverse Oxfam:

It’s people power that brings about change. To play our part as a global organisation working to overcome poverty and inequality, we need equality, diversity, and inclusion across our community of staff, partners, and volunteers. Together, we’re committed to becoming a more diverse workforce, better able to tackle the global challenges that face our world today.

To do that:

  • We need to dismantle the unequal power structures that exist everywhere, including Oxfam and the wider development and charity sectors.
  • We need an inclusive Oxfam where everyone can bring who they are to our work and feels celebrated for the differences they bring.
  • We want and need everyone, and that means we need you.
