Estimating & Pricing Specialist (Defence / Aerospace)
Pay Rate: £90 - £100 per hour (Umbrella / Inside IR35)
Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
Contract Duration: 6 months with potential for extension
Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS & SC (Can start on BPSS)
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Estimating & Pricing Specialist to provide expert business partnering and lead functional estimating across high-value, complex defence campaign proposals for a premier sector leader in Bristol.
You will drive the creation of robust cost and pricing models, advise key stakeholders on risk and financial strategies, and ensure competitive, compliant bidding frameworks.

Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate strong capability across three core areas:
- Advanced Cost Modelling & Pricing Acumen: Proven experience building complex financial, risk, and pricing models from technical requirements, including experience with Qualifying Defence Contracts.
- Business Partnering & Influencing: Ability to work embedded within commercial/bid teams, challenging assumptions and presenting complex pricing strategies to leadership and MoD/customer stakeholders.
- Analytical & Excel Mastery: Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (Power Query, scenario modelling, data analysis) alongside exposure to estimating tools (e.g., ProPricer, @Risk).

Experience & Clearance
Experience: Defence or Aerospace Industry knowledge of Estimating, Pricing, or Financial Analysis
Education: Degree-level qualification in a mathematical, financial, or business discipline preferred.
Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible to undergo UK Security Clearance (SC). Ability to start on BPSS while SC is processed.
