Estimating Manager
Civils & Concrete Sub Contractor
📍 East London
£100-120k Base - PAYE OR Contract (outside IR35)
💷 Projects: £2m–£30m | UK & Europe
We’re working with an established civils and concrete contractor looking to appoint an Estimating Manager to lead estimating across a growing pipeline of projects in the UK and Europe.
The Role
- Own tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission.
- Build up project pricing and rates from first principles – this is a hands-on estimating role.
- Price civils, groundworks and concrete packages ranging from £2m–£30m.
- Review drawings and specifications to establish labour, plant, material and subcontract requirements.
- Manage supplier/subcontractor enquiries and assess quotations.
- Work closely with Procurement, Commercial and Project teams.
- Lead a small estimating team while remaining heavily involved in the detail.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in civils, groundworks, concrete or structural packages.
- Proven ability to build up costs and rates from scratch.
- Experience tendering sizeable and technically complex projects.
- Strong understanding of labour, plant, materials and construction methodology.
- Experience pricing projects across Europe would be highly advantageous.
- Commercially strong, detailed and comfortable taking ownership of tenders.
