Role Description
This is a full-time, or Part time on-site Estimator role based in the City of Bristol. The Estimator will review drawings, specifications, and site information to prepare accurate material and take-offs for roofing and cladding projects. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Requesting and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Preparing detailed cost estimates
- Assisting in the preparation of tender documents and proposals
- Working closely with project managers and the operations team to clarify technical requirements, track changes in scope, and update estimates accordingly
- Maintaining pricing databases
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting
- Helping ensure that bids are submitted on time and in line with company standards

Qualifications
- Experience in construction estimating, preferably within roofing, cladding, or a related trade.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and cost calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and estimating or project management software; confident use of standard office IT tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and health and safety considerations relevant to roofing and cladding.
- Prior on-site or trade experience in roofing/cladding is highly beneficial; relevant vocational training or qualifications in construction or quantity surveying are an advantage.
