Role Description

The Estimator role at AGG Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Liverpool. The Estimator is responsible for reviewing drawings, specifications, and customer inquiries to prepare accurate cost estimates for windows, doors, bespoke roofs, and aluminium products. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and quantifying materials, liaising with suppliers for pricing, and preparing detailed quotations and proposals.

The role involves working closely with sales, project management, and production teams to ensure estimates align with technical requirements and customer expectations. The Estimator also updates and maintains pricing databases, supports budgeting and tender submissions, and contributes to continuous improvement in estimating processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in estimating or quantity surveying, preferably within windows, doors, roofing, aluminium products, or a related construction/manufacturing field.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and estimating or CRM software, and solid general IT skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy in calculations, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple quotations and deadlines.
  • Understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and installation methods for fenestration or building envelope products is an advantage.
  • Relevant vocational qualification or degree in construction, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work on-site in Liverpool on a full-time basis and adapt to changing project priorities.
