Estimator

Location: Blaenavon

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Manpower is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company for an experienced Estimator to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual with an engineering background who can confidently prepare quotations, manage customer enquiries, and support business growth. The successful candidate will also take a leading role in developing the company's spare parts sales division, building relationships with customers and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.

Working within a specialist engineering environment, you'll support projects supplied to clients across the Middle East and other international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates for engineering projects
  • Review customer specifications and technical requirements
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, engineering and production teams to develop competitive proposals
  • Follow up quotations and build strong customer relationships
  • Lead and grow the spare parts sales side of the business
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business and upselling spare parts and services
  • Maintain quotation records and sales activity using internal systems
  • Support the wider commercial team in achieving sales targets

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an Estimator, Quotations, Internal Sales, Sales Engineer, or Commercial Engineering role
  • Experience preparing quotations within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer service skills
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
