Location: Bedford
Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 DOE
Hours: 8:30 - 17:00

The Company
A long-established manufacturer and subcontractor delivering high-security solutions for the UK construction sector. They design and install specialist products including ballistic and blast-resistant doors, walls, windows, and louvres for government, healthcare, and critical-infrastructure projects.

With continued growth in the estimating department, they are now recruiting an Estimator to support tendering activity across a diverse and technically interesting workload.
The Role: Estimator
You will support the estimating team with tender reviews, pricing, and cost analysis across a wide range of security-focused projects. This role suits someone with early estimating experience who wants to progress within a specialist manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and pricing schedules
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications
- Calculate material, labour, and subcontractor costs
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors
- Maintain organized records of estimates and submissions
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Project Management, and Production teams

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in an Estimator role, with all construction backgrounds considered
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confident using Excel and estimation software, with Bluebeam or PlanSwift beneficial
- Knowledge of AutoCAD beneficial
- Organized, proactive, and keen to develop within a growing department
