Coventry/Bedford, UK.

Talented people are the key to our success.

Would you like to work for an inclusive and collaborative company that is one of the UK's most successful infrastructure organisations?

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Estimator to join our rail team, supporting the delivery of a high-profile station project from early contractor involvement through to detailed pricing and delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a major rail scheme with a significant pre-construction and pricing period, while developing your expertise within a supportive and experienced work-winning and project environment.

Working closely with both estimating and project delivery teams, you will play a key role in developing robust cost plans, assessing design changes, and supporting successful project outcomes on a complex and high-value rail infrastructure scheme.

Role Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate cost estimates and cost plans throughout project development.
  • Undertake quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and other project information.
  • Interpret technical drawings and documentation to identify project requirements and associated costs.
  • Assess and quantify the cost impact of design changes and project risks.
  • Support cost planning activities throughout the pre-construction and delivery phases.
  • Maintain accurate version control of estimate documentation and pricing information.
  • Consult with design, commercial, engineering, and project teams to ensure estimates reflect current project requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of tender submissions, pricing exercises, and project reviews.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
