Estimator – London Fit Out Main Contracting

Location: Liverpool Street, London
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 + package
Hybrid – 2 days working from home

The Opportunity

We are working with a newly established London fit out main contracting business, backed by a highly respected and well-established construction group.

The business is entering an exciting period of growth, building a strong presence within the London fit out market and creating a team of talented people who want more than simply a job — they want the opportunity to build a genuine career and make a lasting impact.

As the business continues to expand, they are looking for an Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Estimator who wants to join a business at an exciting stage of its journey, where your experience, ideas and contribution will genuinely be valued.

You won't be joining a large, established team where your role is narrowly defined. You'll have the opportunity to help shape the way the business operates, work closely with senior leadership and grow alongside the company as it develops.

The Role

As an Estimator, you will play a key role within the Pre-Construction team, supporting the business in securing and delivering a strong pipeline of London fit out projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will be involved throughout the estimating and tendering process, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to develop accurate, competitive and commercially sound tenders.

Although the role will be primarily focused on Pre-Construction, there will also be opportunities to work alongside and support the Commercial / Quantity Surveying team when required. This will provide valuable exposure across the wider commercial lifecycle of projects and is particularly suited to someone who enjoys being involved in the bigger picture.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing detailed estimates and cost plans for fit out projects.
  • Reviewing tender and enquiry documentation, drawings and specifications.
  • Analysing project requirements and identifying key commercial and construction considerations.
  • Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Preparing tender enquiries and managing the return of quotations.
  • Developing accurate and competitive tender submissions.
  • Identifying opportunities, risks and potential value engineering solutions.
  • Working closely with the pre-construction and wider project teams to develop buildable and commercially viable proposals.
  • Supporting tender presentations and client meetings where required.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients.
  • Contributing to the continual development of estimating processes, systems and best practice as the business grows.
