Are you a meticulous Estimator with a deep understanding of building regulations within the modular building industry? Wernick Modular Hire, a proud part of the Wernick Group, invites you to join our thriving team in Cannock.

In this pivotal Estimator role, you will play a crucial part in our sales process, supporting the team by accurately pricing and presenting comprehensive quote documents for rental opportunities. We are seeking a proactive and numerate individual who can manage all aspects of estimating, thrives in a collaborative team environment, and is eager to continuously develop their skills. About The Role
Core Responsibilities:
- Review client enquiries, concept information and tender documents to identify requirements and prepare a suitable sales proposal.
- Prepare accurate rental quotations from enquiry information, schedules, specifications and agreed pricing assumptions.
- Compile bills of quantities, schedules of materials and cost build-ups needed to produce clear and accurate quotations.
- Obtain subcontractor quotations for relevant work packages, review scope and exclusions, and include the most suitable quotation within the estimate.
- Understand technical information relating to modular buildings, including building layout, site constraints, specification requirements and scope boundaries.
- Prepare clear sales proposals that reflect client requirements, pricing assumptions, exclusions and the relevant Wernick products and services.
- Support Sales, factory production, project control and site teams with quotation information, handover details and clarification where required.
- Read and understand technical documentation, including tender documents, specifications, schedules and client enquiry information.
- Manage workload effectively in a busy office environment, follow direction from senior managers and meet agreed quotation deadlines.
- Clarify enquiry information with the Sales team, client contacts and internal departments to confirm scope, exclusions, assumptions and programme requirements before pricing.
- Maintain accurate quotation records, cost information and supporting documents so that pricing decisions are traceable and easy to review.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in an estimating or CAD design role, ideally within the modular building or construction industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of building regulations and industry best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for accuracy, with a proven ability to identify and rectify discrepancies in design work and tender documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with sales, estimating, and production teams.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, capable of adapting designs and pricing based on feedback and regulatory updates.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, enabling efficient handling of multiple projects in a busy office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- A collaborative mindset, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.

- Experience as an Estimator.
- Deep understanding of building regulations within the modular building industry.
- Ability to accurately price and present comprehensive quote documents for rental opportunities.
- Demonstrated proactivity in a professional setting.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Ability to manage all aspects of estimating.
