HUB Build | Specialist Fit-Out & Interiors | Redditch

At HUB Build, we deliver specialist fit-out solutions across the museum, heritage, cultural, luxury hospitality and high-end residential sectors.

Renowned for our craftsmanship, attention to detail and ability to deliver complex and bespoke environments, we work with leading architects, designers and clients to bring ambitious spaces to life.

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our pre-construction team, based from our Redditch office.

The Role

Reporting to the Estimating Director, you will play an important role within our pre-construction team, preparing accurate, competitive and commercially sound cost estimates for complex fit-out and interior construction projects.

Working closely with clients, designers, consultants, suppliers, specialist subcontractors and our internal project teams, you will support the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission.

You will combine strong numerical and commercial skills with a good technical understanding of construction, ensuring our proposals reflect both the requirements of the project and the quality and craftsmanship expected of HUB Build.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for specialist fit-out and interior projects.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules and design information to establish project scope and develop accurate costs.
  • Measuring and pricing works in accordance with project requirements and agreed estimating procedures.
  • Analysing construction methods, materials, programme requirements and procurement routes when preparing estimates.
  • Obtaining, analysing and comparing quotations from specialist subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Identifying scope gaps, commercial risks, exclusions, assumptions and pricing opportunities within tender information.
  • Preparing pricing breakdowns, tender summaries, clarifications and supporting documentation.
  • Supporting value engineering and cost optimisation while protecting design intent and quality.
  • Liaising with clients, designers, consultants and the supply chain to resolve pricing and tender queries.
  • Participating in pre-tender meetings, site visits, design reviews and tender clarification meetings where required.
  • Maintaining knowledge of market rates, materials, labour and specialist trades.
  • Supporting tender reviews, cost planning and commercial analysis.
  • Maintaining accurate estimating records, cost information and benchmarking data.
  • Supporting the effective handover of successful tenders from pre-construction into project delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
