Job Title: Estimator
Location: Near Southampton, Hampshire

The Hampshire office delivers high-profile schemes across Hampshire and the surrounding counties and they pride themselves on building strong relationships with supply chains, architects, and clients, ensuring quality and sustainability in everything they build.
The Role
They are seeking a commercially minded Estimator to join the pre-construction team. You will play a pivotal role in securing new business, taking tenders from initial receipt through to formal submission and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze tender documentation, design drawings, and specifications to understand scope and risk.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and net budgets for two-stage, single-stage, and framework tenders.
- Issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating incoming quotations for value and compliance.
- Lead mid-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Work alongside bid management and planning teams to craft competitive, high-value proposals.

About You
Requirement Details
- Experience: Proven track record as an Estimator within a UK main contractor
- Project Types: Experience pricing new build and refurbishment projects (GBP1m-GBP15m+)
- Technical Skills: Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Conquest, Causeway, or similar) and Excel
- Qualifications: HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (preferred)
- Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the regional supply chain in Hampshire/South Coast
