About the Company
We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong commercial construction background to join our client's growing team. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting ongoing projects across the construction sectors including steel frameworks, roofing/cladding infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional looking to build a future with a leading UK-wide business who are based in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting ongoing projects across the construction sectors including steel frameworks, roofing/cladding infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Source and price construction materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor packages
- Support the Commercial Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and tender submissions
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
- Assist with cost planning across ongoing projects within the business
- Review project risks and opportunities during the tender process
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates and industry trends
- Support projects across sectors including:
- Construction
- Structural steel
- Roofing and Cladding infrastructure

Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Estimator within construction or civil engineering
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction costing
- Experience working on construction, structural steel, roofing and cladding
- Knowledge of electrical substation or renewable energy projects would be advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software

Required Skills
- Experience within Construction/Structural Steel/Roofing and Cladding
Preferred Skills
- HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar
- Full UK driving licence
