About This Role
This Estimator position offers an exciting opportunity to join an established commercial team delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects. You will play a central role in preparing detailed cost builds and developing robust pricing solutions across various civil schemes.
- Interpret client requirements from tender documentation to perform accurate take offs and build detailed bills of quantities.
- Collaborate closely with bid managers, planners, and procurement specialists to agree on optimal delivery methodologies.
- Maintain comprehensive risk registers, opportunity logs, and key assumption files throughout the estimation lifecycle.
- Prepare thorough adjudication packs and present tender bases directly to senior commercial leaders.
About You
You are a collaborative and detail-oriented professional with practical estimating or operational site experience across civil engineering projects. Your technical understanding of construction methods allows you to build realistic resource profiles and accurate tender submissions.
- Demonstrate hands-on estimating or operational experience in one or more areas such as groundworks, pipelines, or general civils.
- Show strong competence in first principle tender build-ups and associated plant, labour, and material requirements.
- Possess numerical literacy alongside proficiency in estimating software platforms and Microsoft Excel.
- Communicate confidently to build effective working relationships with internal delivery teams and project stakeholders.
