Role Description
The Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in London Head Office, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This includes analyzing drawings and specifications, quantifying materials and labor, and requesting quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. The Estimator will prepare detailed cost breakdowns, assist in bid preparation, and support project managers with budget updates and cost tracking. The role also involves maintaining pricing databases, reviewing market trends, and collaborating with engineering, procurement, and site teams to ensure estimates align with project plans and timelines.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and budgeting for construction projects.
- Proficiency with estimation and project tools (e.g., Excel, cost management or ERP software, CAD or Blue Beam tools is a plus).
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and supply chain processes.
- Ability to analyze technical drawings, specifications, and contracts with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in estimating or cost control within the construction industry is highly beneficial.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer
- Competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 40-hour working week (Monday to Friday), typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm,
- 21 days’ annual leave (pro rata), plus bank holidays.
- Annual performance-related bonus (based on individual and company performance).
