The Background

Big estimating teams can be great places to learn, but they can also keep you pricing the same thing, in the same lane, for years. This is the opposite.

A young, well-funded specialist contractor working across new build, refurbishment and remediation is growing fast. It has a new office on the City fringe, a flexible approach to working and a plan to build its estimating function from scratch inside pre-construction. They're hiring at a couple of levels, and this role is for an Estimator who wants room to develop rather than a narrow lane in a big firm.

The Role

You'll price a genuine mix of work, from cladding replacement on residential blocks to fabric-first retrofit and new build packages, working closely with the Senior Estimator and the wider pre-construction team. As the function grows, so will you, with proper development and a clear path to Senior Estimator.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
