Estimator – Passive Fire Protection
Job Title: Estimator – Fire Doors & Passive Fire Protection
Office Based: Kent (Hybrid working available)
Area to be covered: South & Midlands (Typically the South East)
Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000 neg

The Role
The role of the Estimator – Passive Fire Protection will involve:
- Promoting a high quality range of various fire doors and passive fire protection products, covering commercial, local authorities, social housing and educational sectors
- Visiting projects weekly, typically across the South East (projects can be from the South Coast up to the Midlands)
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams throughout the estimating process
- Gain an understanding of project requirements through drawings, specifications, tender documents and client liaison
- Analyse project plans and perform quantity take-offs to accurately estimate labour, material, equipment and subcontractor costs
- Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions and proposals in line with client requirements
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, pricing information and project documentation
- Manage projects ranging in value up to £200k

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Passive Fire Protection industry with:
- Must have Estimating experience within the fire stopping, fire door, fire protection or security industry
- Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
- Must be a hard worker that’s ready to get stuck in
- High levels of organisation
- Confident individual that can deal with any problems that occur on site
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
