Job Title: M and E Estimator: Data Centres (x2 Positions)
Location: Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire
Salary: GBP70,000 - GBP100,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: Immediate
About The Role
Are you an experienced M and E Estimator with a proven track record in the Data Centre or critical infrastructure sector?
Due to significant growth and a strong pipeline of high-tech projects, we are currently expanding our team in Gerrards Cross and seeking two ambitious M and E Estimators to join us on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering accurate, competitive, and highly technical bids for major data centre developments across the UK and Europe. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the technical know-how required for high-reliability build environments, we want to hear from you.

- Prepare accurate Mechanical and Electrical estimates, tender submissions, and cost plans for mission-critical Data Centre projects.
- Analyze tender documents, specifications, electrical/mechanical drawings, and schedules of rates.
- Perform detailed material and labor take-offs.
- Issue supply chain inquiries, liaise with sub-contractors/vendors, and evaluate quotations for competitiveness and compliance.
- Work closely with pre-construction, commercial, and engineering teams to identify cost-saving initiatives and value engineering opportunities.
- Present financial breakdowns and tenders to senior leadership and key project stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Proven experience as an M and E Estimator (or M or E specialist) within a main contractor or major M and E sub-contractor.
- Sector Knowledge: Essential experience in Data Centres or high-tech critical environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, cleanrooms, major power infrastructure).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of complex electrical/mechanical systems, power distribution, HVAC, cooling systems, and resilience designs.
- Software: Proficient with estimating software packages (e.g., Trimble/Ensign, Cypher, ConEst) and advanced MS Excel.
- Commute: Based within a realistic commuting distance of Gerrards Cross.
