Estimator
An established civil engineering contractor is looking to strengthen its Sheffield team with the addition of an experienced Estimator.
You'll play a central role in winning new work, engaging with clients, suppliers, and colleagues across the business at every stage from first enquiry through to final tender.
What you'll be doing:
- Building precise cost estimates and compiling tender submissions
- Interpreting drawings, specifications, and supporting project documents
- Sourcing and assessing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Compiling take-offs and bills of quantities
- Spotting risks early and identifying opportunities for value engineering
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams throughout the tender process
- Handing over successful bids smoothly to the delivery team once contracts are awarded

- A background in estimating within construction, civil engineering, or a similar field
- Confidence reading and interpreting technical drawings and specs
- Sharp commercial instincts paired with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills and a well-organized approach
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office
