E&I Estimator – Gas Projects

Location: North East / Hybrid / Office
Salary: DOE + benefits
Job Type: Permanent
Sector: Gas / Electrical / Instrumentation / Capital Projects

Onshore Technical are currently supporting a new client with the recruitment of an experienced E&I Estimator to support upcoming gas project works.
This role would suit someone with a strong electrical and instrumentation background who is confident reviewing technical information, supporting tender submissions and preparing accurate estimates for industrial, utilities, energy or gas infrastructure projects.

The Role

As E&I Estimator, you will support the estimating and work-winning process across gas project works.
You will review client information, drawings, specifications and project requirements to help prepare accurate, competitive and commercially robust estimates.
The role will involve working closely with project, commercial and delivery teams to ensure estimates are accurate, buildable and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
  • Prepare accurate E&I estimates for gas project works
  • Support tender submissions and work-winning activity
  • Review project requirements, labour, materials and subcontractor input
  • Identify risks, exclusions, assumptions and commercial considerations
  • Liaise with internal project, commercial and delivery teams
  • Support the preparation of competitive and commercially robust submissions
  • Maintain strong attention to detail throughout the estimating process

Experience Required

  • Electrical and instrumentation estimating experience
  • Gas, utilities, industrial or energy project background preferred
  • Strong understanding of E&I works, site delivery and project requirements
  • Confident reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
  • Able to prepare estimates and support tender submissions
  • Good understanding of labour, materials and subcontractor input
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Able to work closely with project, commercial and delivery teams
