A growing construction and property services contractor is looking to appoint an Estimator to join its established pre-construction team.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of refurbishment, maintenance, repairs, and planned works projects, producing accurate and commercially competitive tenders that support continued business growth.
The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating opportunities, managing the estimating process from enquiry through to submission, and working closely with operational and commercial teams to secure new projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions across a range of construction projects.
- Review tender documentation, specifications, and scope of works.
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
- Liaise with operational and commercial teams to develop winning tender strategies.
- Present cost plans and tender recommendations for internal review and approval.
- Maintain tender records and report on bid performance and success rates.
- Support the development of supply chain relationships and framework opportunities.
- Assist with project handovers to delivery and commercial teams following contract award.

About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Previous estimating, quantity surveying, or pre-construction experience.
- Experience within construction, maintenance, refurbishment, or property services environments.
- Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC forms of contract.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work to strict deadlines.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Full UK driving license.
