  • Prepare, present and deliver tenders up to $20M
  • Industry experience, principal contracting background advantageous
  • Remediation, building and façade and defence projects

Ensuring accurate, timely and quality tender estimates/cost plans are developed for submission on various building, façade, defence and remediation projects across our growing NSW division. Typically single-stage lump sum offering.

The Role

  • Prepare and develop accurate cost estimates, including direct trade and prelim budgets
  • Compile accurate material quantity take-offs to develop bills of quantities
  • Assist preparing and developing construction methodologies, programs and submission documentation
  • Develop estimates from first principles using site productivity rates
  • Prepare risk and opportunity including cost escalation analysis for estimates
  • Review designs and engineering specifications for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives where applicable
  • Hand over detailed tenders with traceability and support into pre-contracts and delivery

About You

  • Previous experience in estimating in Defence, Construction and/or building remediation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confidence, professionalism and self-motivation
  • A strong financial and commercial acumen
  • High level attention to detail and the ability to work to set timeframes while multitasking
  • Capability to present your estimates to Senior Management for approval to submit
  • Actively seek additional information or clarification through RFI’s to the Client to ensure a complete set of tender documents
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar equivalent
  • Proficient in Pronamics Expert Estimation software desirable
