Join a specialist Australian residential builder as its dedicated estimator, working fully remotely from the Philippines. It is a role you can own end to end, with a clear path to grow into a long-term career alongside a supportive, founder-led team that values precision and accountability.

Role Summary

As the dedicated estimator, you will own the estimating function end to end for residential duplex projects, from interpreting drawings, plans and specifications through to preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents. Day to day you will complete quantity take-offs across all trades, source and review supplier and subcontractor pricing, and build accurate, competitive quotes that support a fixed-price delivery model, working primarily in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools across the Microsoft Office and Google Workspace environments. You will liaise closely with the founder and wider project team to clarify scope, resolve discrepancies and finalize pricing, sitting at the center of how the business wins and delivers work. This is a standalone, high-trust position with room to grow as the business expands its duplex development pipeline across Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents for residential duplex projects.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
  • Complete quantity take-offs across all relevant trades and materials.
  • Source and review supplier and subcontractor pricing to build competitive, fixed-price quotes.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing information and scope gaps in drawings and documentation.
  • Maintain clear records of assumptions, inclusions and exclusions for each estimate.
  • Manage multiple estimates and tenders at once, meeting deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  • Liaise with the founder and wider team to clarify project requirements and finalize pricing.
  • Apply knowledge of Australian residential construction methods, standards and building codes to keep estimates realistic and compliant.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
