Lead Estimator with Benchmarx Contract Sales - New Build & Projects

Location

The Lead Estimator role is a remote working position and the successful candidate will be welcome to work from home or at one of our branches across the country. With the occasional requirement to attend team/supplier meetings and events, a driving licence is desirable but not a necessity.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm. No weekend working but occasional overnight stays may be required for meetings and events, planned well in advance of the occasion.

What experience do you need?

  • Previous furniture design and estimating experience is essential
  • Experience of working in a bustling high volume contract environment is advantageous
  • Comfort with technical drawings and knowledge of construction legislation desirable
  • Previous experience working in a remote/WFH position is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of design software i.e Articad/Fusion
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to a broad spectrum of individuals across multiple departments
  • Exceptional organisational skills and time management with experience of working in a deadline guided industry.
  • Knowledge of best practice in affordable housing and inclusive living product and design is highly desirable.

What will I be doing?

  • Collaborating directly with our business development manager, you will play an integral part in the formative stage of our department, laying the foundations for future expansion and our drive toward being recognised as the go to supply partner for developers and contractors.
  • Preparation of design and estimate proposals to high, universally agreed standards working with rigorously pre-qualified client specification.
  • Administrative process support and control - prepopulating and maintaining project and site trackers to support servicing branches
  • Extracting information from technical drawings and specification documents, liaising directly with clients in the absence of the development manager.
  • Maintaining and the continuous development of a detailed understanding of products, their features and benefits, and ensuring they are used as appropriate to meet customer specifications.
