Role Description
The Estimator – Commercial Rooftop Landscaping role is a full-time, on-site position based in Warrington. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Reviewing architectural and engineering drawings
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for green roof and rooftop landscaping projects
- Obtaining and analyzing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Collaborating with project managers, designers, and clients to clarify project requirements, value-engineer solutions, and prepare clear proposals and budgets
- Maintaining and updating pricing databases
- Supporting tender submissions
- Tracking project costs against estimates
- Contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes

This position requires regular coordination with on-site teams and occasional visits to project locations to understand site conditions and installation requirements.

Qualifications
- Strong estimating, budgeting, and cost analysis skills for construction or landscaping projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Competence with spreadsheets and estimating software; solid numeracy and data accuracy
- Knowledge of green roof systems, commercial landscaping, or related construction fields (or willingness to develop expertise)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple bids and deadlines
- Relevant education or training in construction, quantity surveying, landscaping, or a related discipline
- Experience in commercial construction, roofing, or landscape contracting is an asset
- Commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality standards in project delivery
